Our Story

Distinguished Legal Excellence Since 1995

Prof. Joe Abugu, SAN & Co. was established as a premier legal practice built on the twin pillars of academic rigour and practical courtroom excellence. The firm was founded by Prof. Joseph Chukwuemeka Abugu — a Professor of Law at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka/Enugu Campus, and one of Nigeria's most distinguished Senior Advocates.

Over three decades, the firm has grown into one of Nigeria's most respected legal institutions, advising multinationals, federal and state government agencies, financial institutions, and private individuals on a wide spectrum of legal matters.

With offices in Abuja (the Federal Capital Territory) and Enugu, we are strategically positioned to serve clients across all geopolitical zones of Nigeria and handle matters before every court and tribunal in the country.
