Prof. Joseph Chukwuemeka Abugu, SAN

Prof. Joseph Chukwuemeka Abugu, SAN, FNIALS, FCIArb, is the founding and principal partner of the firm. A Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (elevated 2009), he is widely recognised as one of the most eminent legal scholars and practitioners in Nigeria.

Prof. Abugu has appeared as lead counsel in numerous landmark cases at all levels of the Nigerian judiciary, including the Supreme Court. He is a prolific author of legal textbooks that serve as standard references in Nigerian law schools and are frequently cited in judicial decisions.

His areas of specialisation include company law, commercial law, secured credit transactions, constitutional law, and energy law. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (FNIALS) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).

Sir Chima Ubochi

Sir Chima Ubochi is a Senior Partner with over 25 years of legal experience. He brings exceptional depth of expertise in corporate law, commercial transactions, and high-value litigation before Nigerian courts.

He has advised major corporations on complex transactional matters and has successfully represented clients in numerous high-profile commercial disputes. Sir Chima is known for his meticulous attention to detail and his strategic approach to complex legal problems.

Bibian Offor

Bibian Offor is a Partner at the firm with significant expertise in real property law, conveyancing, and banking & finance. She has extensive transactional and advisory experience, having acted in numerous large-scale property transactions and financing arrangements.

Her practice covers the full range of property-related work, from title verification and due diligence through to sophisticated real estate financing structures. She also advises financial institutions on loan documentation and security arrangements.

Nkechi Chukwueke

Nkechi Chukwueke is a Partner specialising in intellectual property, labour and employment law, and commercial litigation. She is known for her thorough research, clear advice, and tenacious advocacy.

She advises both domestic and international clients on protecting their intellectual property rights in Nigeria, and represents employers and employees in employment disputes before the National Industrial Court.

Emeka Onuorah

Emeka Onuorah is a Senior Associate with expertise in corporate and commercial law, tax advisory, and dispute resolution. He brings strong academic credentials and developing courtroom skills to the firm's practice.

He assists in the management of corporate transactions, corporate governance mandates, and tax advisory assignments, and is developing a strong practice in commercial dispute resolution.
